Resumen de Interações disciplinares da pesquisa na Ciência da Informação

The interactions between disciplines have shown an alternative way to innovate the production of scientific knowledge. In large extension, they have been stimulated by demands from the complex problems faced by society today, across the world. The Information Science, features a contemporary science, it seeks in its interdisciplinary origin and structure a way to develop itself.
This research, fruit of doctoral research, aims to verify the extent to which the research developed in the Information Science (IS), in Brazil, reflects characteristics of interdisciplinarity. For this srudy, are analyzed scientific articles published in four journals in the area, related to institutions of hibher educations and strongly related to after-graduation programs, in the period of 2001 to 2006. From na inicial sample of 531 papers, are selected and studied in depth 30% of those that had presented indicative properties of interaction with other areas of the knowledge for its development.
Based on a broad theoretical framework on the main modalities of interaction between disciplines - multi-, inter and transdisciplinarity -, and by the analysis of the articles, it was possible to draw a profile of the research in the area, relatively to the use of these approaches. It was also possible to study the ways of interaction occurring in the area by the analysis of aspects that may characterize forms of interactions, such as number of authors, academic formation and field of performance of the teams, theoretical and conceptual basement used, used methodology, scope of the research and contributions or results.
Articulating the gotten data it apperas that there are different forms and levels of interactions in the research developed in the Information Science, and that multidisciplinarity is the most common. It was not identified any transdisciplinarity research. We conclude that the interactions of the SI with other areas gives more support to its disciplinarity than force to its interdisciplinarity, characteristic that is not supported by the scientific research published in Brazil, in the analysed period.

As interações entre disciplinas têm se mostrado uma alternativa para inovar a forma de produção do conhecimento científico. Em grande parte, elas têm sido impulsionadas pelas demandas provenientes dos problemas complexos enfrentados pela sociedade atual, em todo o mundo. A Ciência da Informação, caracteristicamente uma ciência contemporânea, também busca em sua origem e estrutura interdisciplinares uma maneira de desenvolver-se.
Esta pesquisa, fruto de pesquisa de doutoramento, objetiva verificar em que medida as pesquisas desenvolvidas na Ciência da Informação (CI), no Brasil, refletem características de interdisciplinaridade. Para tanto, analisam-se artigos científicos publicados em quatro periódicos da área editados em instituições de ensino superior e fortemente ligados a pós-graduação, no período de 2001 a 2006. De uma amostra inicial de 531 artigos científicos são selecionados e estudados, em profundidade, 30% desses, que apresentaram propriedades indicativas de interação com outras áreas do conhecimento para o seu desenvolvimento.
À luz de amplo referencial teórico sobre as principais modalidades de interação entre disciplinas - multi-, inter- e transdisciplinaridade -, e por meio da análise dos artigos, foi possível traçar um perfil da pesquisa na área, relativamente à utilização dessas abordagens. Foi possível ainda estudar as modalidades de interação ocorridas na área pela análise de aspectos que possam caracterizar a presença de interações, como número de autores, formação acadêmica e área de atuação das equipes, embasamento teórico-conceitual utilizado, metodologia empregada, abrangência da pesquisa e contribuições ou resultados obtidos.
Articulando-se os dados obtidos constata-se que há diferentes formas e níveis de interações nas pesquisas desenvolvidas na Ciência da Informação, sendo a multidisciplinaridade a mais comum e não tendo sido identificada nenhuma pesquisa transdisciplinar. Conclui-se que as interações da CI com outras áreas dá mais sustentação à sua disciplinaridade do que vigor a sua interdisciplinaridade, característica que não é, portanto, confirmada pela pesquisa científica publicada no Brasil, no período analisado.
