Los minerales industriales son los invisibles ladrillos que construyen el mundo que nos rodea. No se ven ni se notan pero están por todas partes. Algunos incluso nos los comemos, como los que están en la pasta de dientes o las aspirinas, otros sirven para fabricar las cosas que usamos todos los días (papel, plástico, goma, lápices,...) y sin otros no habría carreteras, casas, presas ni ciudades. Este trabajo hace un repaso sucinto al mundo de los minerales que se emplean en la industria para fabricar las cosas que necesitamos para vivir confortablemente.

Industrial minerals are the invisible bricks that make up the world that surrounds us. They are not seen or noticed, but they are everywhere. Some we even eat, such as those that are included in the tooth paste or in the aspirins, other are used to manufacture the things that we use every day (paper, plastics, rubber, pencils…) and without other there would not be roads, houses, dams or cities. This paper tours briefly around the world of the minerals used in the industry to produce the things we need to live comfortably.
