Los mercados locales de trabajo y sus condiciones de accesibilidad en Tenerife

    La accesibilidad, entendida como una medida de la conectividad entre los lugares de residencia y los lugares de trabajo a través del sistema de transportes, condiciona la configuración de los Mercados Locales de Trabajo (MLT). El objetivo de este trabajo es el estudio de la accesibilidad locacional y las condiciones de movilidad en los MLT de Tenerife. Utilizando la información del Censo de Población y Viviendas de 2001 sobre la movilidad diaria de la población ocupada, se agrupan los municipios en MLT con niveles de autocontención superiores al 80%. A través de un Sistema de Información Geográfica se calculan índices de accesibilidad con competencia (floating catchment area method) por los empleos para tres límites temporales por trayecto (20, 30 y 40 minutos), utilizando como orígenes las Entidades de Población y como destinos los municipios.

    The accessibility intended as a measure of connectivity between place of residence and place of work through the transport system, determines the configuration of the Local Labour Markets (LLM). The aim of this paper is the analysis of the location accessibility and the mobility conditions of LLM in Tenerife. Making use of the information about the daily mobility of the working population available in the 2001 Census of population and housings, the municipalities of LLM with a level of self-containment greater than 80% are classified. The indexes of accessibility with competition (floating catchment area method) for employments corresponding to three limits of time (20, 30 and 40 minutes) are estimated by means of a GIS, using the entities of population as origins and the municipalities as destinations.
