Resumen de Las fuentes de autoridad en la gramática de Rui López de Segura
Rui López de Segura is universally known by his book Libro de Invención Liberal y Arte del Juego del Ajedrez (Alcalá, 1561) and is also author of a Latin Grammar (Grammaticae Institutiones) published in Lisbon (1563) that is dedicated to the Portugal heir Prince Sir Sebastián. In this article all the contemporary sources used by the author are quoted and explained. The author as the basis to justify his linguistic theories uses these sources. Through them, the authors shows how he masters the grammatical theory of the early Renaissance and how he criticises and perceives a lot of flaws in the theories of his geographical counterpart and very important grammarian Francisco Sánchez de las Brozas.
