  • Resumen
    • Storms are a combination of driving agents affecting coastal evolution. On the eastern fringe of the Rhone delta, thresholds of driving agents are defined ; different forms of storms are defined and associated with various types of morphosedimen- tary impacts. The impacts of recent storms are studied in two areas : the Faraman sector which belongs to the salt industry of the Compagnie des Salins du Midi et des Salines de l'Est, and the eastern beaches (from les Baisses de Quenin to la flèche de la Gracieuse). Destructive storms in the Faraman sector can be constructive on the other beaches, thus illustrating the importance of the sedimentary context and the sediment redistribution by storms.
