    El artículo pretende establecer las conexiones entre el cubismo y el cine a través del pintor Juan Gris. Se verán los grados de implicación del artista en el hecho cinematográfico, así como el contexto artístico en el cual se produjeron puntos de contacto entre el pensamiento cubista y la teoría cinematográfica. La hipótesis expone que, aunque el lenguaje del cine no ejercía una influencia directa sobre la plástica cubista, sí compartía determinados rasgos formales y de contenido.

    Through an analysis of Juan Gris' work, this article explores the connections between Cubism and cinema, showing the degree of this painter's involvement in film, and describing the artistic context that facilitated some points of contact between Cubist thought and film theory. It will be argued that, although filmic language did not have a direct influence on Cubist painting, they did share certain features of form and content.
