Resumen de Les Jeux Olympiques, l´évènement spatial par excellence

For the chosen cities, the Olympic Games offer an exceptional opportunity to enhance their attractiveness through the construction of a number of lodging, transport and communication facilities which contribute to urban transformation. In this manner, they are the quintessential spatial event, with two main characteristics : the first is linked to the observance of a strict calendar for the building of the required sporting facilities ; the second concerns the transformation of the sports program into an urban project. The 2008 Beijing games are a good example of events which leave a durable mark on a city, even if the negative aspects and social cost of such renovations must not be left aside.

Les Jeux Olympiques (J.O.) offrent aux villes choisies une occasion exceptionnelle de valoriser leur attractivité grâce à la construction d'infrastructures d'accueil, de transports et de communication qui participent aux transformations urbaines. En ce sens, ils sont l 'événement spatial par excellence présentant deux caractéristiques : la première est liée à l'engagement de respecter un calendrier précis pour la réalisation en projet urbain. Les J.O. de Pékin 2008 sont un bon exemple de ces événements caractérisés par les traces durables qu 'elles laissent dans la ville, même si les points noirs et le coût social des rénovations ne doivent pas être occultés.
