La retórica en el siglo XX: Hacia una Retórica General

    A lo largo del siglo XX, sobre todo en su segunda mitad, se produjo un progresivo retorno a la Retórica como teoría general del discurso, tanto en los aspectos referentes a la pragmática lingüística, como en lo concerniente a la producción y recepción de textos literarios. A partir de Perelman y Olbrecht-Tyteca se amplió esta perspectiva neorretórica, hasta el punto de que, tras la crisis de las poéticas estructuralistas, la revisión del corpus retórico se ha convertido en una vía de progreso para la Teoría literaria del siglo XXI, a través de la configuración de una Retórica General Literaria en la que participen otras ciencias dedicadas al estudio... En este artículo se analizan todas estas propuestas desarrolladas a lo largo del siglo XX, buscando esa pretensión interdisciplinar que marca esa teoría general del discurso.

    During the 20th century, especially in the second half, a progressive return to the Rethoric as a general theory of the discourse, was produced. Not only in aspects referring to the linguistic pragmatic, but also in everything related to the production and reception of literary texts. After Perelman¿s and Olbrech-Tyteca¿s works, this neo-rethoric view was enlarged to the extent that, after the crisis of the estructuralistic theories of poetry, the re-examination of the rethoric corpus has become a way of progress for the Literary Theory in the 21th century. All of these theories which were developed during the 20th century are analysed in this article, by way of interdisciplinary aspiration that directs the general theory of the discourse.
