Abstract: It is necessary to apply treatment programs and intervention models for the prison inmates who remain in secure penal detention centers, foreseen in Article 10 of the LOG, because they are extremely dangerous and unsuitable for the common detention (ordinary and open), in order to allow the regularization of their behavior and, thus, help their social rehabilitation. In this work we analyze the difficulties involved in applying this treatment intervention, some of its background and the so-called Programa Marco de Intervención con Internos de Régimen Cerrado (PMIIRC) (Intervention Framework Programme with Prison Inmates in Secure Penal Detention), which is currently being implemented by the Penal Administration.
