  • In this article I ground the reasons for the choice of a methodology for the study of social representations. Then I describe such methodology, which consist in Magariños-de-Morentin's semiotic perspective, by presenting a research on the construction of the concept of "poverty" and its results. The methodology make possible the approach to the prevailing enunciative formations of a concept in a determinate moment of a determinate society.
