Diego Rabadán, born in Murcia, established himself in Madrid at the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century. He made a living from buying and selling old books. He wrote many extravagant poems which provoked the mocking and the false praise of his age group. He then reached an unexpected though ephemeral fame.
