    From a few novels of Pepetela, we approach the subject of the relationship between Literature and History. The History and the memory as resource are the most repeated leitmotive of the novels of this Angolan writer. The History's fictionality became the way of writing the Angolanity construction from the inside look.

    A partir de alguns romances de Pepetela, aborda-se neste texto a relação entre Literatura e História. O recurso à História e/ou à memória é um dos leitmotive mais recorrente na obra deste escritor angolano. A ficcionalidade da História torna-se forma de escrever a construção da angolanidade através do olhar "de dentro".
