    Comentamos la presencia de Carpinus betulus L. en la Península Ibérica, en las localidades de Aranaz y Yanci, provincia de Navarra. Se dudaba de su espontaneidad al sur de los Pirineos, una vez desechadas antiguas citas, que, posiblemente, habría que reconsiderar. Se acompaña de inventarios florísticos realizados en los bosquetes a que da lugar.

    We report the presence of Carpinus betulus L. in the Iberian Peninsula, found in the localities of Aranaz and Yanci, in the province of Navarra. The presence of this species south of the Pyrenees was under question except for certain, very outdated, references which should probably be reconsiderad. The discovery is accompanied by floristic inventories from the area studied.
