  En la base de nuestro articulo de hoy están algunas de las recolecciones efectuadas en las campañas de 1987 y 1988 -no poco fructíferas- con ocasión de las que siguen saliendo a flote y estructurándose metódicamente datos inéditos, más o menos antiguos. Al interrumpirse la colaboración del doctor Loríente, los pliegos testigo se depositan ahora en los herbarios de Aedo y Laínz; así como, alguna vez, en el que poco a poco incrementa José María de Pereda Vega, farmacéutico en ciernes, quien sería bueno que tratara de ordenar y aprovechar el de su inolvidable padre. Solamente destacaremos aquí -entre diversas indicaciones de alto interés corológico, superior al de adición a nuestro mimado catálogo florístico- la de Agrostis gigantea Roth -especie netamente rizomatosa que, según todas las apariencias, debe añadirse a las admitidas en la novísima revisión peninsular del género.

  Our present paper is based on some collections made during the seasons of 1987 and 1988 -not scarcely fruitful- from which more or less old unpublished data continue to come up and be methodically structured. As the cooperation of Dr. Loriente has been discontinued, the voucher specimens are now deposited in the herbaria of Aedo and Laínz; and also, sometimes, in the one slowly enlarged by José María de Pereda Vega, a budding pharmacist, who might do well in trying to arrange and profit by that of his unforgettable father. We shall only underline here -among several indications of high chorologic interest, above the were addition to our cherished floristic catalogue- that of Agrostis gigantea Roth, a clearly rhizomatous species which, to all appearance, must be added to those acceptedin the newest Peninsular revision of the genus.
