    Se examina el rol y la importancia que ha llegado a adquirir el complejo militar-industrial en la economía contemporánea por una parte como motor del cambio tecnológico y por otra como mecanismo orientado a amortiguar los efectos del funcionamiento cíclico del capitalismo. Junto con ello, se examina también la relación que este fenómeno guarda con algunos de los postulados claves de los enfoques teóricos neoclásico, schumpeteriano, neokeynesiano y regulacionista.

    This study examines the role and the importance that has come to acquire in the contemporary economy the militar industrial complex, on the one hand, as a motor of the technological change, and, on the other, as an oriented mechanism to cushion the effects of the cyclical functioning of capitalism. Along with it, this article also examines the relationship that this phenomenon maintains with some of the key postulates of the neoclassical, schumpeterian, Neokeynesian and regulation theoretical approaches.
