  Encontrará en el artículo una reseña de las empresas más antiguas del mundo y algunas de las más antiguas de Colombia, su país de origen, los principales productos o servicios que ofrecen y las ventajas competitivas que les han permitido durar más de mil años.

  Estas empresas se han convertido en puntos de comparación y admiración por los demás competidores, al punto de ser envidiadas. En otras palabras, se han convertido en verdaderos mitos empresariales en sus sectores industriales. ¿Por qué considerarlas un mito? ¿Cuál es la implicación de utilizar ese término? Las respuestas son desarrolladas en el documento.

  Muchas de ellas son empresas familiares y desde el punto de vista financiero sus utilidades les han permitido sobrevivir mas no sobresalir; sin embargo, el solo hecho de tener una historia de muchas generaciones las hace dignas de ser estudiadas y asignarlas en la categoría de mitos empresariales.

Many of them are familiar companies and from the financial point of view their utilities have allowed them to survive but not to excel, nevertheless the single fact to have a history of many generations does them worthy to be studied and to assign them in the enterprise Myth category.
