Resumen de El relato natural en las ciencias sociales y en el discurso científico

Este trabajo desarrolla la hipótesis de que el fenómeno que se consolida en el presente siglo, principalmente en Europa central y Norteamérica, es la legitimación del relato natural en disciplinas de las ciencias sociales y en el propio discurso científico, lo cual se debe al cambio de paradigma en la sociedad postmoderna, que instaura la primacía del saber legitimado por el relato, como asimismo a las categorías básicas que estructuran la trama narrativa, otorgándole una interpretación narrativa a la experiencia humana. Los objetivos del trabajo apuntan a definir el estatuto del relato en la sociedad postmoderna, caracterizar la estructura del relato natural y las categorías de complicación y resolución, y definir la forma en que éstas operan en el discurso del derecho, la sicología, la sociología y en el discurso científico, para finalmente definir el estatuto de género del relato natural.

The thesis developed in this article deals with the phenomenon of the legitimacy of storytelling in the disciplines of the social sciences and in the scientific discourse,mainly observable in central Europe and Northamerica. This is due, on the one hand, to the movement of those societies into a postmodern paradigm where knowledge is legitimated by storytelling, and on the other, to the basic categories of the narrative structure that allow a narrative interpretation to human experience. The work advocates first to define the status of storytelling within a postmodern society, then it characterizes the structure of storytelling and the categories of complication and resolution and the way these operate in legal, psychological, sociological and scientific discourse, and finally the status of genre of storytelling is defined.
