  • Resumen
    • In this article, the author briefly addresses the crisis periods western culture has undergone, from the Greek civilization up to the 20th century. The Greek sophists can be regarded as an example of a line of thought which acknowledges the crisis, but considers it unsurpassable and tries to take advantage of it. Aristotle responded to this “philosophy of crisis”, but Hegelian philosophy is also a reply. However, in Hegel’s thought hope loses importance, while Christian revelation centers precisely on Hope.
