The author attempts to subject new technologies to a new anthropological vision. Since new communications mass media invite us to invest our interest, our sensitivity, our intelligence, our will and our money in the anthropological experience which is derived from the new mass media must empower habits and values such as solidarity, gratitude, sincerity, sobriety, friendship, perseverance, happiness, habits that consider the individual and the community as well.
In one word, the mass media suggest the substitution of a basically selfish use, and as such vicious, by a basically generous, solidary use, and as such virtuous and enriching one to those technologies.
Democracy demands the existence of virtuous citizens because, as Plato said, the truly man's excellence and dignity lie in virtue which is our authentic patrimony and commonwealth. And the market as well as the civil society are waiting for navigators of the new technologies that with an audacios lliberty of spirit, based on trascendent determinations be able to dominate the advances on telecommunications.
