  • The "Quarter Contract" reality is considered a design for urban, economic and psycho-social regeneration. At the moment, on a national scale, it covers 45 projects. The initiatives for urban regeneration are created on the base of "bottom-up" processes, which depart from below, from the population. The QC activity is based on the principle of eco-development, leading to compatible and sustainable living conditions that help protect local environmental and human resources . The general purposes of QC is: the monitoring of social transformation, further education and labour retraining within the area. A survey will monitor how the community feels about these transformations. The study examines the conditions of life and health of individuals of low-income background living in the area, such as old people, children and social categories with serious problems of alienation and social exclusion. The research methods are: interviews; formation of a transversal focus-group that establishes close relations with the community, the involvement of associations and institutions in the project; a questionnaire to monitor the course of the project. Further more, an investigation plan (analyzed in the article) has been elaborated, named "Etnografic Diaries". With these the relation between interviewer and interviewed and the level of reciprocity of this research are analyzed.
