  ¿Qué es la serendipia? ¿La Geología y las Ciencias de la Tierra tienen contenidos y posibilidades de tener descubrimientos por casualidad? ¿Es la ciencia o el investigador el que tiene carácter serendípico? Se aportan dos ejemplos de serendipia en el marco del conocimiento geológico. Terminamos con unas reflexiones sobre las condiciones que se deben dar entre serendipia y creatividad.

  What is the serendipy? The Geology and the Earth Sciences have contents and possibilities of having discoveries by chance? It is the science or the investigating the one which has serendipy’s character? They are provided two examples of serendipy in the framework of the geological knowledge. We end with some reflections on the conditions that they should be given between serendipy and creativity.
