    Las cartas pueblas son instrumentos de carácter jurídico cuyo principal objetivo fue ordenar el territorio, estabilizar las líneas fronterizas en momentos de avances de la conquista y poblar o repoblar núcleos urbanos. Se otorgaron bajo diversas fórmulas jurídicas.

    La totalidad de las concedidas para repoblar territorio valenciano a fueros aragoneses se diligenciaron en los siglos XIII y XIV. Junto al rey, colaboraron en la concesión de carta pueblas la nobleza y caballeros, las órdenes militares del Temple y del Hospital y algunos eclesiásticos.

    The «cartas pueblas», are a juridical instrument whose main aim was the organization of the territory, establishing boundaries as the conquest advanced and populating or repopulating urban centres. These were granted under different juridical forms. All those granted to different civil communal organisations �«fueros»� of Aragón with the aim of repopulating the territory of Valencia were processed in the XIII and XIV Centuries. The nobility and feudal lords, the military orders of the Temple and Hospital, and other ecclesiastic organisations collaborated with the King in their concession.
