  • Resumen
    • In this interview, Rita C. Richey discusses her individual and collaborative research in instructional technology as well as pivotal decisions that have influenced her career choices. From pioneering work in theoretical and conceptual bases of instructional design to the role of contextual analysis; from early work in the domain and definition of the field to IBSTPI standards and, most recently, to design and development research, she helps us understand and appreciate the discipline of instructional technology and instructional design in particular. She challenges us to look at underlying assumptions we hold in the field and discusses the need for empirical bases for procedures/practices in instructional design.
