In a linguistic model for a public mass media, a part from the grammatical criteria, other criteria are established: these ones widespread ideological, cultural and social values defended by the political ideas that govern the media. These are rules -semantic conventions, norms of language choice- that are appropriate in a media of Catalonia, where there is more than one public administration -each one with a different linguistic politics- and where two languages which are both official coexist. The application of the model, which gives singularity and contributes to buiïá the style of a media, becomes an effective tool to present the messages to the audience homogeneously.
