Salud y malestar docente en profesores de E.G.B.: estrés y absentismo laboral

    Se trata de investigar sobre un tema que está suscitando interés y preocupación en los ámbitos educativos. Nos referimos a la intensidad que está cobrando el fenómeno del malestar docente y en la posible relación con el absentismo laboral. Con el término de malestar docente nos referimos a las secuelas que experimenta el docente en el ejercicio de su profesión, traducidas en situaciones de ansiedad, conflictos, estrés, agotamiento, devaluación de la personalidad, depresiones, etc. Todo lo cual, además de repercutir en el estado de salud de los profesores y en la calidad de la enseñanza, fomenta el absentismo laboral. Nuestro trabajo describe la naturaleza del malestar docente (su conceptualización desde la perspectiva cognitiva), las causas, los planteamientos teóricos y los objetivos de la investigación que se concretan en el análisis de la Identidad Profesional del docente. Como parte integrante de dicha Identidad, aparece la situación de malestar en sus diversas formas. Los resultados indican que aproximadamente un 50% está aquejado por situaciones de malestar; y una cifra parecida de profesores se ve afectado por el absentismo laboral.

    It is about an enquiry into a research work on a theme wich is arousing interest and concern in the educational environment. We are referring to the strength wich the fenomenon of educational malaise is gathering and to the possible relationship wich labour absenteeism. By the term "educational malaise", we are referring to the consequences wich the teaching staff experiment while carrying out their profession, interpreted by situation of personality, depresion, etc. However, besides the repercussion it has on the teachers' condition of health and on the quality of teaching, it foments labour absenteeism. Our work describes the nature of educational malaise (making it conceptual from its very cognitive outlook), the motives, the theoretic setting up and the objectives of the investigation wich become more definite in the analysis of the professional identity of the teaching staff. Being an essential part of the mentioned identity, the situation of malaise, im its various forms, shows up. Results indicate that about 50% are distressed by the situation of malaise; and a similar figure of teachers is seen to be affected by labour absenteeism.
