  • Agnès, of l'École des femmes fame, in Olivier Py's la Servante , mourns the death of Uzza with a monologue whose title refers to Chardin's painting of a woman playing the bird-organ (serinette, also a badly-sung tune) to a caged canary {serin, also a fatuous young man), while its contents turn upon the injunction (serinade) to see the painting.
