  • This article fits the results of the development of "posterior syntax" to various cognitive aspects conceived as antinomies (or explicative hypothesis of opposed character) which arise in the psycology of language (autonomy/functionality of language; competence capacity linguistic performance; predominance of cognition predominance of language in human development). The aim of this study was to verify how the syntactic capacity of a child evolves, through two tests based on oral narratives: the telling of stories and the description of characters.
