Biología reproductora de tres especies mediterráneas de Lacertidae

    Se han estudiado diferentes aspectos de la reproducción de tres especies ibéricas de Lacertidae, Psammodromus algirus, Psammodromus hispanicus y Acanthodactylus erythrurus, en un área adehesada del centro-oeste peninsular. Existe un escalonamiento en el inicio de la actividad reproductora de las tres formas, así P. hispanicus comienza en el mes de marzo, mientras que en P. algirus y A. erythrurus se inicia en abril y mayo, respectivamente, hecho estrechamente relacionado con la mayor o menor duración del período conjunto de gestación-incubación. En las tres especies la mayoría de los nacimientos acontecen a finales de agosto o principios de septiembre.

    Different aspects of reproduction in three Iberian species of Lacertidae, Psammodromus algirus, Psammodromus hispanicus and Acanthodactylus erythrurus were studied in a pasture land área in the Central-Western part of Iberian Peninsula. The beginning of reproduction for the three forms is staggered; in P. hispanicus it begins in March, while for P. algirus and A. erythrurus it begins in April and May respectively. This is closely related to the greater or lesser duration of the total gestation-incubation period. In all three species most hatchings occur at the end of August or the beginning of September.
