Resumen de Las novelas históricas olvidadas de Blasco Ibáñez

El presente estudio pretende mostrar el interés que puede ofrecer el análisis de una parte de la producción novelesca romántica, repudiada por Blasco Ibáñez: sus primeras novelas históricas. Variantes distintas de dicho género, las tres obras analizadas presentan, aun tímidamente, algunos rasgos que caracterizarán la escritura posterior del autor. Además resultan especialmente significativas en la obra literaria del autor, en tanto reflejan el sostenido interés del mismo por esta especie narrativa. Precisamente con ella inició y concluyó Blasco Ibáñez su producción novelesca.

The analysis of a part of the Romantic novelistic production of Blasco Ibáñez¿s earlier historical novels, rejected by himself, can have great significance. The three works discussed in this article are variants of the genre, and contain in a timid way some features which will eventually be characteristic of the author. Moreover, these novels are a reflection of the constant interest of the writer in this genre with which Blasco started and ended his literary career.
