The art during the Spanish civil war adopted a politicallly active positioning. We gather the drawings realized by Luis Quintanilla in the city and Naval Base of Cartagena. We recount the vital and artistic path of the Cantabrian painter, the frame of political reference that accompanied his contribution and the ideological crossroads that he found in the Mediterranean city.
