    Tanto el análisis de la gestión del riesgo como el interés por la responsabilidad social de las empresas (en adelante RSE) viene de lejos. De hecho, numerosos estudios realizados a lo largo del siglo pasado han manifestado la preocupación que tienen tanto las empresas como el mundo académico por ambas cuestiones. Basta recordar las aportaciones que han hecho Markowitz sobre los riesgos y Friedman sobre las RSE. Nuestra intención, con este trabajo, es demostrar la estrecha vinculación que existe entre la gestión del riesgo y la responsabilidad social de la empresa.

    Both, the analysis of the management of the risk and the interest for the social responsibility of the companies, come from a long time ago. In fact, numerous studies realized through last century have shown the worry that there have both, companies and academic world, in both questions. It is enough to remember the contributions that have made Markowitz about the risks and Friedman on the social responsibility of the company. Our intention, with this work, is to demonstrate the narrow link that exists between the management of the risk and the social responsibility of the company.
