    This essay offers a disquisition about the political and moral and civic themes of Canto VI of Hell thanks also the informations given by a vulgar unedited transposition or translation of Pietro Alighieri�s Comentum to his father�s Divine Comedy. This exegetical effort is caractericed by a strong allegorical essence, as it�s typical of XIV century�s exegesis, and here we try to put a parallelism between contemporary critical work and the ancient one.

    Se propone una discusión sobre las temáticas políticas, morales y cívicas contenidas en el canto VI del Inferno, tomando en consideración también las informaciones que ofrece una transposición o traducción en volgare inédita del Comentum de Pietro Alighieri al poema paterno. Este esfuerzo exegético está caracterizado por un componente fuertemente alegórico, como es típico de la exégesis del siglo XIV, intentándose aquí establecer un paralelismo entre el trabajo crítico contemporáneo y el antiguo.
