    El periodo álgido de la parodia en España tiene lugar en el siglo XIX y fue posible gracias al reconocimiento social de este género. La literatura romántica se convirtió en blanco favorito, porque sus características eran susceptibles de ser parodiadas. Se estudian en este artículo no solo los textos dramáticos sino también las propias representaciones paródicas.

    The golden period of dramatic parody in Spain took place in the XIX century and it was possible thanks to the social respect that this genre had obtained. One of the parodist's targets was Romantic literature, because its characteristics were so suitable to parodic encoding. In this article we will study not only dramatic texts, but also the Romanticism parodic shows.
