Resumen de Pasado, presente y futuro del Patrimonio Cultural de la Iglesia

La Iglesia ha originado en España un amplio patrimonio cultural. Ese patrimonio se conserva gracias al celo y trabajo anónimo de párrocos, cabildos y el apoyo ejemplar de los fieles.
Limitándonos a los dos últimos siglos, señalo momentos negativos cruciales: La Francesada, Desamortización y Guerra Civil y época del postconcilio Vaticano II.
Actualmente existe un momento de esperanza debido a: la mayor sensibilidad, elevación del nivel económico, organización del Estado Español, Comisión Episcopal del Patrimonio Cultual y sus respectivas delegaciones diocesanas.
Los sectores que abarca son: archivos y bibliotecas, bienes inmuebles, bienes muebles y museos. Merece especial mención el Plan Nacional de Catedrales.
A la Iglesia le mueve en esta tarea su dimensión evangelizadora. El arte cristiano ha sido durante siglos el único camino de evangelización de los iletrados, de los que no eran capaces de leer el Evangelio ni el Catecismo.

The Roman Catholic Church has been caused of a large cultural heritage. This cultural heritage keeps up today by the zeal and anonymous work of many parish priests, councils of cathedrals and the exemplary support of the catholic congregation.
In this lecture, I point out some negative and crucial moments happened in the last two centuries: "La Francesada" (the invasion of Spain from France), "La Desamortización" (the seize of church properties by the Govern), the Spanish Civil War and the age of post Vatican II.
Currently, we are in a hopeful moment caused by the most cultural sensibility, the elevation of economic level of the country, the organization of the Govern and the creation of a Cultural Heritage Episcopal Comitee and its diocesan delegations.
The groups contained in that work are: archives and libraries, real states, moveable possessions and museums. The National Cathedral Plan is very important in this sense.
The Roman Catholic Church wants to evangelize as through the art. Along centuries, the Christian Art have been the one way to learn the Good New to illiterate people who can' t read the Gospel or the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
