El diàleg teatral o el fracàs del monòleg

    Tot discutint una provocadora definició de "diàleg" de Jaume Melendres, aquest article repensa la posada en escena del Banquet platònic que va estrenar l'autor el 1989, reflexionant sobre el paper del marc narratiu en l'establiment del diàleg, la distància entre el relat i el diàleg relatat per Apol.lodor, de manera que al final el diàleg pròpiament teatral resultaria ser l'enfrontament entre els faleresos a qui Apol.lodor relata el diàleg (que consideren Apol.lodor un ximple), i la ironia d'Apol.lodor que "sap" que els ximples són els seus interlocutors.

    In a discussion of a provocative definition of "dialogue" by Jaume Melendres, this article rethinks the staging of Plato's Symposion premiered by the author in 1989. He reflects on the role played by the narrative frame in the setting of the dialogue, the distance between the narrative and the dialogue narrated by Apollodorus; thus, at the end properly theatrical dialogue turns out to be the clash between the men from Phaleron to whom Apollodorus narrates the dialogue (who consider Apollodorus a fool) and the ironic Apollodorus, who "knows" that the fools are his interlocutors.
