The present essay focuses on several of the so-called "Socratic dialogues" of Plato (Apology, Protagoras, Laches, Carmides, Meno, and, above all, Lysis) as a staging of "synousia", the best representation of Plato's new conception of the Socratic philosophic demeanor. Within the Socratic dialogue, "synousia" becomes what vertebrates the philosophic contents of the narrative offered by Plato through his dialogic writing. The polychrome nature of such "synousial" staging gives the philosophic contents of Plato's text an exceptional density.
