Resumen de Coordination and control of online MBA boot camp course gaining competitive advantage

Robert Bisking, Hamid Khan

  • In our MBA curriculum we tested the efficacy of an on line course design project, using project Management software for a course titled BADM 6600 or Fundamentals of Business Administration (The MBA Boot Camp). The six-in-one course has six modular subjects: Management, Business law, Economics, Accounting, Finance and Statistics) serving as an integrated pre-requisite course for students lacking an undergraduate business degree. Each module was put on line individually, tested and then (sewn or) integrated into one course. Each module lasts for two weeks and the span of the crash course is only 12-weeks (Trimester). The time spent in designing the course by the platform faculty or lead professors from defining the scope to implementation was controlled by the Project Management software. Due to the anticipated benefit of finishing the project before fall semester the project time available was one semester or four months. We describe below the modality and effectiveness of such a course design and its implementation for academic program effectiveness
