Pesquisando o lazer de um grupo de idosos no Brasil

    The purpose of this research was to analyze what the elderly people understand by leisure, through what activities they live the leisure and what factors interfere in this kind of experience. The bibliography research was combined with an exploratory study and together with the elderly people of a university project, and the data were collected by the application of questionnaires. The investigated group has similar characteristics to the brazilian profile and worldwide elderly, especially considering aspects like gender and economic condition. The understanding of leisure contemplates basically the aspects of rest and entertainment; the activities happen more during the week and belong to different fields of interests. The sociability was the key factor to choose the leisure experiences of the investigated group.

    Esta pesquisa exploratória objetivou identificar e analisar o que os idosos que participam de um Projeto de Extensão Universitária entendem por lazer, através de quais atividades o vivenciam e alguns fatores que interferem na fetivação de suas experiências. Constatou-se que o lazer assume funções de descanso e diversão, sendo o aspecto sociabilização fundamental para a escolha das atividades. As vivências pertencem a todos os campos de interesses do lazer, ocorrem principalmente durante a semana e são na maioria gratuitas, apesar de haver certas práticas pagas muito adotadas pelos idosos do grupo.
