La mortalitat infantil i juvenil és un dels indicadors mes importants per conèixer l'estat sanitari d'una població.
Per aquest motiu analitzam en aquest article l'evolució de la mortalitat infantil i juvenil al municipi de Sineu durabt el segle XIX, evolució que creim ens pot servir per conèixer un poc millor el seu comportament en el conjunt de les Illes Balears.

Children mortality is one of the most important indicators to know the sanitary conditions of population.
For this reason we will analyse the evolution of children mortality in the municipality of Sineu during the XIX century. We think it can serve as a first step to understand its evolution al the Balearte lslands.
