    El presente trabajo recoge las impresiones del Duque de Liria y Jérica a su paso por Polonia a comienzos del siglo XVIII. En él se analiza la imagen de Polonia a través de los textos incluidos en la obra Diario del Viaje a Moscovia. Hasta ahora, esta obra ha sido estudiada como pieza clave de las relaciones hispano-rusas. Este trabajo pretende centrarse en las partes de la obra que abordan la descripción de la situación crítica que vive Polonia en esta primera mitad del siglo XVIII, vista a través de los ojos de un personaje histórico que no es ajeno a la importancia del momento.

    This essay sets forth the impressions of the Duke of Berwick on his way through Poland in the beginning of the 18th century. We analize the image of Poland through texts from the book Diario del Viaje a Moscovia, which is considered to be the key to the study of Spanish-Russian relations. The intention of the present work is to focus on the fragments dealing with the critical situation that Poland was undergoing in the first half of the 18th century, seen through the eyes of a historical figure who is fully conscious of the importance of the moment.
