    Algunos espacios naturales protegidos se han convertido en destinos turísticos. Las actividades y los tipos de visitantes son diversos, y no siempre acorde con los valores de protección. No es una moda: el turismo va ligado a las áreas protegidas casi desde su creación. Últimamente se estrecha la relación con algunas iniciativas de impulso del turismo de naturaleza, como la Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenible.

    Some protected areas have become tourist destinations. The activities and the kind of visitors are diverse and not always friendly with the protection values. It is not a new trend: the tourism is linked to protected areas almost since their creation.

    Lately the relationship gets closer thanks to several initiatives promoting nature tourism like the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
