The Pohjola's, Cugno's and Montruchio's contributions on wage development, real and nominal Phillips curves, in a Goodwin's model.

In this article the contributions of Pohjola, Cugno and Montruchio in relation to the wage development in a Goodwin's growth model, are discussed.

If we follow Pohjola, the level of employment during the cycle depends of the capacity of wages react to an excess of demando Moreover, if the trade unions react with a lag, the level of employment will be high or low depending on the relations between the wages and the labour productivity.

Should both, wages and labour productivity, change in the same proportion, the level of employrnent depends only on the friction in the labour market. On the other hand, foliowing Cugno and Montruchio, we obtain a stable Goodwin's growth cycle when the trade unions are not aggressive in their wage claims. In this case a smooth approach to equilibria will be obtained while the fluctuations of u and v decreased. In this context Pohjola's and van der Ploeg's version of Goodwin's cycles are considered as a special case of the process described by Cugno and Montruchio, For different values of the monetary illussion, stable, unstable and closed cycles are obtained.
