    La soberanía popular es una de las herencias que nos dejó la modernidad occidental. La voluntad del pueblo debe continuar siendo el pilar sobre el que se levanten los estados que, a su vez, deben proteger y garantizar la continuidad de este principio. En muchas regiones del planeta, los mecanismos democráticos siguen sin ser transparentes y no representan la verdadera voluntad popular, como son los casos de Kenia o Zimbabwe que el autor apunta en el siguiente artículo.

    Popular sovereignty is part of the inheritance left to us by Western modernity, The will of the people must remain as the pillar on which states are built which, in turn, ought to protect and guarantee the continuity of this principie. In many regions of the planet, democratic mechanisms are still not transparent and do not represent the true will of the people as is the case in Kenia or Zimbabwe as the author points out in his article.
