    Se expone que los valores de pKa de los bencenotioles substituidos correlaciona linealmente con las cargas sobre el átomo de azufre y sobre el grupo SH, con las sumas de las cargas sobre los átomos del substituyente y el átomo de carbono del anillo aromático enlazado con el substituyente, y con las energías de los orbitales moleculares ocupados de mayor energía de los bencenotioles y de los aniones bencenotiolato.

    S'exposa que els valors de pKa dels bencenotioles substituïts correlaciona linealment amb les càrregues sobre l'àtom de sofre i sobre el grup SH, amb les sumes de les càrregues sobre els àtoms del substituent i l'àtom de carboni de l'anell aromàtic enllaçat amb el substituent, i amb les energies dels orbitals moleculars ocupats de major energia dels bencenotiols i dels anions bencenotiolat.

    It's shown that the pKa values of substituted benzenethiols correlate linearly with the charges on the sulfur atom and on the SH group, with the sums of the charges on the atoms of the substituent and the carbon atom of the aromatic ring bonded to the substituent, and with the energies of the highest energy occupied molecular orbitals of benzenethiols and benzenethiol anions.
