Las particularidades que presenta la enseñanza del derecho en Líbano fueron determinadas en gran medida por el legado del Protectorado francés. Este artículo ayuda a entenderlas a través de un análisis histórico del desarrollo de dicha enseñanza, desde sus orígenes a finales del dominio otomano en Líbano (1875), pasando por el periodo del Protectorado francés (1919-1943), y terminando con el periodo de la independencia (1943). Asimismo, se evalúan su estado actual y los retos que afronta ante los recientes cambios que han afectado ambos sistemas jurídicos francés y libanés.

The special features that characterize the teaching of law in Lebanon were largely determined by the French Mandate. This article helps understand these features by analysing the development of legal studies since their origin in the last years of the Ottoman dominion (1875), then during the French Mandate (1919 - 1943), and finally in the post independence period (1943). It also evaluates their current state and the challenges they face, given the recent changes that have affected both the Lebanese and French legal systems
