The present work is an attempt to trace this Andalusian poet's thinking on this philosophical point, and the undeniable influence Azorin had on him. Both men manifest distrust of the homogenizing role of the intelligence and both represent an opening of new roads to bring us nearer to the profound reality of the world around us. There is a clear parallel between the two authors both in the way problems are raised and in the solutions that are sought.
