    El presente artículo aborda el diseño curricular para el área de Educación Física. Se establece una nueva propuesta a partir del documento base de enseñanzas mínimas. Los apartados que tratados en este trabajo son los objetivos, las competencias básicas y los contenidos. El objetivo del presente estudio es mostrar, explicar y justificar la nueva concepción de los elementos curriculares que conforman el área de Educación Física para la etapa de primaria.
