La relación entre comunidad gay y espacio apenas ha suscitado el interés de la geografía española. Este artículo pretende alentar esta línea de estudio y establecer un modelo básico de análisis. El objetivo es interpretar los grandes contrastes territoriales que se hacen patentes al analizar el grado de visibilidad de la comunidad gay en España y la distribución y naturaleza de los locales y otras referencias espaciales de interés para este colectivo.

Relationship between gay community and space has not aroused the interest of the Spanish geographers. This article tries to promote this line of study and to establish a basic model of analysis. The aim is to interpret the great territorial contrasts that emerge when analyzing the visibility degree of the Spanish gay community and the distribution and nature of the meeting places and other interesting spacial references for this group.
