    Frente a las imprecisiones sobre el significado actualmente dominante de ¿información¿, se propone una interpretación cultural de los procesos y los hechos informativos: la información supone el primado de las condiciones de comunicabilidad y la fragmentación funcional o modular de los textos, así como su sometimiento a formatos orientados psicotécnicamente al control de la actividad receptiva. El desarrollo histórico de la información como ¿formación cultural¿ debe mucho a las condiciones técnicas, a las formas de conocimiento y a la cultura visual nacidas de la imprenta, así como a los imperativos de homologación y de reproducción inherentes...     Against the today¿ s imprecision about the meaning of the term ¿information¿, this article proposes a cultural interpretation of informative processes and facts: the information means the primary importance of the communicability conditions, as well as the functional and modular fragmentation of texts, and also its adaptation to formats psycho-technically oriented to the control of the receiving activity.
