En aquest article l'autor descriu les idees següents de Joan Mascaró i Fornés relacionades amb el coneixernent i la raó:
Descripció de la teoria dels tres ulls del coneixement (coneixement sensorial, coneixement racional i coneixement transracional) de Ken Wilber com a marc de comprensió i sistematització dels conceptes emprats per Mascaró.
Llum com a metàfora mascaroniana del coneixement transracional lligat a I'experiencia mística, que a la vegada esta relacionada amb les experiencies emocionals i estètiques. El coneixement irracional Iligat, amb el fanatisme. al mite.
El paper de la raó com a discriminador entre el coneixement irracional i el coneixement transracional. Descripció de la impotencia de la raó per assolir I'aprehensió dels aspectes emocionals, esteties i espirituals de I'experiencia humana. Crítica al cientisme, la fe cega en les possibilitats de la ciencia: no és més que una forma de mite, el mite de la ciencia com a potencialment omniscient i potencialment omnipotent per resoldre tots els problemes humans.

In this article, the author explains the following ideas of Joan Mascaró Fornés about knowledge and reason:
Description of the theory of the three eyes of knowledge (sensorial knowledge, rational knowledge and transrational knowledge) by Ken Wilber as a frame for nnderstanding and to systematise the Mascaró's concepts.
«Light» as a metaphor of the transrational knowledge which is joined with the mystic experience, which at the same time is bound to the emotional and aesthetic experiences.
Irrational knowledge as fanaticism and myth.
The role of reason as discriminator between irrational knowledge an transrational knowledge.
Description of the inability of reason to understand the emotional, aesthetic and spiritual aspects of the human's experience. Critics to scientism, to the blind faith in the science's possibilities: this is another kind of myth, the myth of the science as potentially omniscient and potentially omnipotent for solving all the human problems.
